Creative Workshops

Have you ever experienced a feeling of joy when taking part in creative activities such as arts and crafts? Research shows that many of us do and that being creative helps us to feel happier.

CREATIVE ART (Wednesdays & Thursdays 11 -1 & 2 - 4)

The Space For You Art Rooms welcome people to use our art materials in an environment that is safe, friendly, encouraging and warm. Our staff members are experienced art teachers, here to help you channel your creativity in whichever way you would like.

Art workshops provide a relaxed atmosphere for you to heal and create. It is a place to take some time out, make new friends, be yourself and grow.

We hold creative workshops every Wednesday and Thursday at our space in Penzance, Cornwall.

Workshops ask for a donation of £3 per session.

Further information

Space for You is a place for you to get creative, to connect with others and to take some time out for yourself. We provide art materials for you to use in the studio, so that you can work on a wide range of projects. Whether it’s painting, drawing, dry clay, pastels, crafts, stitching or something else, our resident artists are available to gently guide you through the creative process.

We provide a no-pressure environment and encourage you to express yourself freely. If you’d like to work on something with the support of a staff member, we’re here to help. However, if you’d like to work independently, that’s okay too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I attend a creative workshop?

As children, our lives are full of creative activities. However, as we grow older, many of us become distracted by work, relationships and daily chores. We lose touch with our creative side. By reconnecting with creativity, we can improve our mood. It can help to protect us against a range of mental health conditions, help us to manage existing conditions, and help us to recover from them.

Space For You provides a place for people to be creative, to connect with others and to take care of their mental health.
